Welcome to another edition of my weekly blog. I haven't been able to write my blog as I used to because different events are going on as we speak.

I came back from Lima-Peru my dear country whicch I love very much; I went there because I am one of the winners of The Peruvian Pride Award 2011. I have to admit that those were the best days I have ever spent in Lima, I was able to do several things at the same time; which is kind of normal for those who know me here in America but it was the first time I ever do something like that there.

I scheduled important appointments in radio & TV, I even organized The First Business Card Exchange/ Networking Event in Lima that I ever thought possible. I was also able invite people from different businesses includying Tourism, Plastic Artists, Graphic Designers and more. I also introduced another project of mine; to launch my own magazine with distribution in the United States and Peru at the same time.

I cannot believe it is Christmas time already, seem that time really flew and it is time to be with the family and to be thankful for all the blessings we received during 2011 and also it is time to start working on our game plan for the upcoming year. 2012 has to be better than this one and remember that we are the architect of our destiny.

Another Successful Presentation

Last Month we were able to have another successful presentation of Health & Wellness with Shaklee in North Bergen, New Jersey. We have to be thankful to each and every person who approached our Shaklee booth, for their questions, suggestions and Shaklee orders as well.

All the exhibitors at Saint Rocco were celebrating Christmas with the attendees; we were able to share upcoming presentations in different areas, it's always nice to see our regular Sint Rocco's people at other events. We are thankful for that.

Welcome to another edition of my weekly blog. I haven't been able to write my blog as I used to due to different events going on in my life but everything is getting back to normal now thank God. I am the Events Coordinator of the Hispanic State Parade of New Jersey because I like to help my community for one, and I a firm believer that the best way to apply my youth, my knowledge and my efforts into a worthy cause.

On October I will be visiting my country and I will write my weekly blog from there so I will keep you posted of what's going on in Peru. I've already scheduled important appointments there because huge things will happen really soon, not only in my Shaklee business but in my personal life as well. I have already made a promise to myself and it is to make my businesses grow up and to become the best I could be and to share everything I have with the community.

New products have been added to our Shaklee family and I think it would be better to share with our Shaklee customers and friends because I've seen the tremendous impact they can do in peoples' lifes and is because of this that I not only consume them, give them to my family and sell them. Feng Shui and The Home Office

From my experience as a feng shui consultant who works from a home based office, as well as from the experience of numerous home and office feng shui clients, working from a home office presents two major challenges:

Separating business and home life,
Lack of stimulating social (business-related) interaction.

If this is the path you've chosen for yourself, I would like to help you create a successful home office by sharing some basic feng shui office tips.

An important office feng shui guideline is to have your home office as far from your bedroom as possible. If the layout of your house allows, having a separate entry to your home office is ideal. If this is not feasible, be sure to create as much division as possible between your office area and your bedroom; this is the basis of good home office feng shui.
Plan your home office with your success, well-being and productivity in mind. Think of specific images, feng shui colors, meaningful career memorabilia and appropriate decor items that make you feel successful, appreciated, and happy. Since you are working from home, feel free to fully express your creativity in decorating your office. Depending on your chosen field, you need to make sure your home office reflects the energy you want to project into the world.
Be mindful of the quality of air and the quality of light (natural and artificial) in your home office, as these are two of the good feng shui must-haves. If your brain is starving for oxygen and your body does not get enough natural light, you will not enjoy being in your home office no matter how much you love your job. Consider investing in full-spectrum lights and do bring at least a couple of air-purifying plants into your home office.
Position your desk in the so-called feng shui commanding position to attract stronger and more successful energies to your work area. A feng shui commanding position means you do not have your back to the door; your desk is positioned further from the door and not in line with it. Be also mindful of not facing a wall while working at your desk. If you have to face the wall, use feng shui to make the wall "disappear" with smart use of art.
Feng shui-wise, there are several important areas in your home office that need to be treated right

South area (Fame and Reputation), or, a more exact translation, your "Light in the World." Its feng shui energy is Fire, so be mindful about nor having color blue, big mirrors, fountains or images of water in this area, as Water element puts down the Fire energy.
North area (Career or Path in Life). The feng shui element here is Water, so this is the feng shui area for items representing water, as well as Metal (Metal creates Water in the feng shui 5 elements cycle.) Without making it sound too complicated, you can place inspiring images related to your career in black or white frame colors in the North area of your home office.
Southeast area (Prosperity and Abundance). Bring images or items that speak to you of money and abundance. The feng shui element here is Wood, so you need to avoid Fire images, as well as too much Metal.

Use feng shui to clutter clear and organize your home office. Schedule as many clutter clearing sessions as needed until there are no hidden (or obvious!) cluttered spots in your office. As clutter drains your energy and dampens your best intentions, you need to create a clear system, and not let clutter ruin your health and your business. Mark a feng shui clutter clearing day on your calendar and you will be surprised how much better, more enthusiastic and energetic you feel the next day. That is, provided that you have actually dealt with the clutter, rather than just contemplated it!

These are just a few of the basic feng shui priorities to guarantee a high level of energy in your home office. Once you have dealt with the energy of your office, be sure your bedroom energy is well taken care of, too.

Everything is connected on a subtle feng shui energy level and you do not want to leave anything out in your quest for a successful home-based business!

Veda Gerasimek - young medalist from Pennsylvania

Twelve-year-old Veda Gerasimek - young medalist from Pennsylvania - is a self-described “small girl, in a small town, with a big dream”... and her dreams are just beginning!

Veda has been to six bicycling nationals, but her most recent one, a road national, was most exciting - where she earned herself a coveted spot on the podium, coming in first place in the criterium race (many short laps on a usually flat course) and taking home the gold.

Along with training hard and never losing focus on her goals, Veda credits her parents’ undying support and Shaklee products for her success and achieving her goal of becoming a national champion. I’ve used Shaklee products almost all my life, and as I got older I started to understand why my parents chose Shaklee. I wasn’t in daycare all day everyday like my friends, my parents had flexibility, and we were fortunate to go on some awesome Shaklee trips! Another reason is the people. The Shaklee crew is my second family. They’re such positive, healthy, energetic people, with big hearts and dreams.

The other reason I love Shaklee is for its Sports Nutrition line. I love to run and wouldn’t have accomplished as much as I have without my Shaklee products. I have a whole routine down for each of my races. I start out by drinking Performance® on a race day to make sure I have enough electrolytes in my body. Welcome to another edition of my weekly blog. This edition is dedicated to the celebration of our Independence Day and of course recommendations to what we eat but most importantly to take care of our largest organ: the skin.

We all like to celebrate our 4th of July by either hosting our own barbeques or attending our friends or neighbor's bbq but there are a few things we have to keep in mind such as watch out for how much alcohol we drink; not only because too much alcohol is dangerous to our health but also because it could get us in trouble.

I want to share lots of information with you regarding our Shaklee products and services. Roger Barnett, Shaklee CEO is going to different cities and he's going to bring even fresher news about the company and I posted the actual schedule but I'll kepp you informed if there is any change on the dates or cities. Also you'll be able to watch a video on Cinch~ a webinar wich Dr. McManus presented to all of us because as we all know, obesity is the number 1 death cause not only in America but worldwide.

We asked new Senior Master Coordinator and 42-year Shaklee veteran Bill Firth what he’s doing to take his business to the next level.

Look for builders with heart: We pinpointed teams within our organization that “have a heart” for Shaklee. If the desire and heart is there to build, volume will come. We contacted them and let them know they have the right attitude and skills to build. Commit to those teams, invest a part of your life in them, and make it a strong working entity that can go forward into the future. Keep in contact with them on a regular basis.

Differentiate Shaklee by emphasizing our history and philosophy: Today’s landscape is different than when Shaklee first began. There are many competitive products in the marketplace. That’s why we emphasize Shaklee products as an extension of the philosophy of being In Harmony with Nature® that Dr. Shaklee founded the company on and which represents a major element of what makes us different. We’re not just another vitamin company and it’s important to convey that to prospects.

Keep refining your presentation: I started out by using a DVD presentation, and at first, I would play the entire program straight through. But I realized I was losing my audience. After thinking this through, I broke down the DVD into five segments of 6 to 9 minutes each. In between segments, I interject comments about what they’ve seen and heard, reinforcing the Shaklee philosophy at each juncture.

Follow up and follow through: I make sure that each prospect goes home with a packet that reinforces what they just heard. Documentation beats conversation. Then we follow up on each packet with the goal of having each attendee start with Rx for a Healthier Life™. If someone says that they cannot afford the Rx, we encourage starting with Vitalizer® or Vivix®.

We just celebrated father’s day and it was wonderful although I don’t think neither father’s day nor mother’s day should be celebrated only once a year because our parents influenced our decisions one way or another.

This past Saturday we were able to share our products and services with Weehawken’s residents and let me tell you it was awesome. People knew our company and they were excited to see Shaklee booth again. They were sharing their experience with us and how wonderful these products are.

I cannot describe the feeling it produces in me when people share with me the incredible improvement in their health after a short time of taking Shaklee products—I know how wonderful they are because as I was saying on Saturday, I take them, use them before I start sharing with people. Welcome to another edition of Franfort Online. There are so many things to be thankful for such as Father's Day! My dad is not only my friend but also my confident, the best dad somebody can have. He's always been there for me, he is my # 1 fan; he celebrates with me all my successes, my creations, seminars, projects and many more things.

Even though I don't have my dad with me physically, we are constantly in touch. When we call each other over the phone, we spend hours talking about the simplest things such as household duties to his vacations, family gathering, my next project and of course his health. A few hours ago my dad gave me the best gift ever!; he got his annual physical examinations and his doctor told him he is as strong as a bull, his bone-density test was perfect and those kind of news provide me mental peace. Veggie Sloppy Joe

INGREDIENTS:
1 8 oz can no-salt-added tomato sauce

1/2 C ketchup

1 1/2 T Worcestershire sauce

1 T prepared yellow mustard

1/2 T dry mustard

1 T molasses

1 Clove garlic, finely minced

1/4 fresh granted orange peel Pinch ground cloves Hot pepper sauce, to taste

1 lb veggie burger

1/2 Small onion, finely chopped

6 Whole hamburger buns, toasted if desired

DIRECTIONS:
In a saucepan over low heat, combine sauce ingredients. Mix well and simmer while preparing veggie burger. Next, heat a heavy, nonstick skillet, at least 10 inches in diameter, over medium high heat. Add ground veggie burger and sauté, stirring occasionally, 4-5 minutes. Pour contents of pan into a colander lined with paper towels and drain liquid out. Add onion to pan and sauté, stirring frequently, about 5 minutes or until translucent.

Return veggie burger meat to pan and add sauce. Heat 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add additional hot pepper sauce, if desired. Spoon ½ C mixture over bun. Serve immediately.

R. Dean Aldridge began with Shaklee in July 2009. Seven months later he began qualification for Executive Coordinator in the FastTRACK accelerated career path, a full eight months ahead of schedule, and more than quadrupled his income in that time. "We needed to redesign our lives and come up with a blueprint for success that worked for us, where we could do well, feel good about it, and touch some lives along the way." I came from a lower-middle-class background and saw my parents struggle to make ends meet. Perhaps because of the way I grew up, I always had an entrepreneurial spirit. When I was in high school,I formed a DJ company with some friends and we hired ourselves out for parties in the area. But I was a pretty talented baseball player and I thought baseball would be my ticket to the life I wanted. When I lost my athletic scholarship, however, I had to look for a new way to achieve my dreams.

By age 20 I was selling insurance and making a lot of money, but it was HARD work—I was always competing for the next auto or home owners' policy. Then I moved to the corporate side and built several large sales teams, but I realized that I was stuck in Corporate America.

When we learned about Shaklee, we quickly discovered that Shaklee was special— special team, special company, and a special cause. My wife, who is a naturopathic physician, looked at the science and saw just how strong Shaklee products were. We saw that Shaklee was the perfect mix. With Shaklee, we could help others and earn a living along the way without cheating our family.

We grew up in Shaklee homes and have been using the products our entire lives. Both of our parents worked the business so we had successful examples of what Shaklee had to offer. We both have full-time jobs and were pretty invested in our work… but we realized early on that we wanted to start something that would result in being able to spend more time together as a family and earn an income. Shaklee was the clear answer.

In 2009 we were recognized as Star Achievers for Business Group Volume increase in Anaheim. We felt like we were doing well by doing a little more each year to grow. But, when the 2011 Top Achievers Club International Getaway to Four Seasons in Bora Bora was announced, it was as if Shaklee had plucked the destination directly out of our dreams.

So we set a plan and took it seriously. We used to just spread the word about Shaklee casually and host events at others’ homes when the opportunity arose. Then we became proactive. We started hosting events at our home regularly. We knew how much work we needed to do each month… and if we didn’t hit our mark how much extra work we would need to do the next month to make up for it.

Even if we don't make Bora Bora, we are in this for the long haul. We are not in this just for the incentives offered this year, we are in this because we believe in the products, we believe in the company, and we believe with Shaklee we can continue to do great things in our lives

Anne Siloy and her husband Doug weren't serious about building their Shaklee business until they were inspired by then new Chairman and CEO Roger Barnett to rediscover just how powerful the Shaklee Opportunity was. Since October 2010, Anne and Doug have broken out their first Dream Plan Director and have increased their volume to earn the rank of Senior Coordinator. Check out their story!

When Roger chose Shaklee, he recognized its value as a business and helped all of us to rediscover that gift for ourselves. Since then, I have learned to feel as comfortable sharing the business with people as I have been sharing the products.

In Anaheim, as the incredible Dream Plan was introduced I found myself sitting in the audience becoming overwhelmed with emotion and I know this may sound kind of funny to some people, but as I sat in my seat with tears in my eyes something told me, “This is it. This is your time.”

So with the mindset to open myself to learn what WAS working so well for others, I began to listen and learn. I took a little from here and a little from there and began to create a Plan of Action for my business and for my Shaklee team.

Thanks to the Dream Plan and the inspiration we received at the last conference, we plan to complete our qualification for Atlantis this month and in doing so we will have earned our first incentive trip since attending Shaklee’s New Directors Conference 15 years ago.

That same feeling and emotion I experienced at the last conference can be instantly recalled, but it is now accompanied by a new joy because we have actually just begun to experience the growth and success for our Shaklee business that I have so strongly desired for so many years.

Helping others isn’t new to Linda Orso. Before deciding to build a Shaklee business, she served as the Executive Director of a non-profit, addressing the needs of people with Downs Syndrome. Now in Shaklee, she’s still helping others while reaching towards her own dreams. Check out Linda’s story!

I was first introduced to Shaklee by Barbara Lagoni (Master Coordinator, IL) in the early 1980’s. But it wasn’t until November 2010, that I decided to build a business when I found myself looking for a job. The idea of helping others to improve their health and the health of their children was the first attraction to this business for me. As I learned more about Shaklee, the idea of having an at-home business that allowed me the freedom of being available for my family only enhanced the idea.

Since starting to build my business, I have advanced in rank twice and generated over 17,000 OV in just the last four months. But best of all, I have been able to help several young mothers get healthier, which in turn has helped them cope with the stress of motherhood. And now three of those mothers have decided to become Shaklee distributors and are helping other moms!

I have been so privileged to have Barb Lagoni as my upline and mentor. Her integrity and genuine loving attitude is reflected in all of our conversations and exemplifies the high standards and philanthropic mission of Shaklee Corporation.

Spring Clean the Feng Shui Way

Spring cleaning, that annual rite of spring, is approached with enthusiasm by some and merely talked about as a nice idea by others. Most of us are somewhere between these two extremes, tackling a few overdue cleaning projects with determination and thoughts of warm sunny days ahead. No matter where you are on this continuum, being in a space that has been thoroughly cleaned is refreshing and welcoming. It has a positive influence on your outlook. Feng shui provides guidelines for creating that "good energy" feel in all your spaces. Spring cleaning is a perfect time to begin to apply these guidelines.

Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art of placement, was developed several thousand years ago. The goal of feng shi is to live in harmony with your environment so that the energy of your surroundings works for you rather than against you. Feng means wind and shui means water. Wind represents the unseen in our lives and water represents the seen. Both are symbolic of the flow of energy or chi in our surroundings. Too strong and flood waters or hurricanes develop. Too little and stagnation or stifling conditions develop. With the flow of energy just right, there is a gentle breeze or a meandering stream. Both are symbolic of the flow of energy that is optimum in our homes and offices.

Feng shui teaches us that, just as we are affected by our surroundings, we are also reflections of our spaces. We have all walked into a room or building and immediately felt uncomfortable. Conversely, we have all walked into spaces that have made us feel relaxed and calm. Feng shui works on several different layers to achieve balance and harmony in our environments.

The first layer is balancing the energy flow. The primary reason for energy blocks is clutter. Clutter can make us feel overwhelmed, depressed, confused, and stuck. Clutter includes: anything that is unloved or unused, too many things in too small a space, piles and piles, disorganization, too many little things, unfinished projects, anything in a state of disrepair, and/or anything dirty.

Take a look around your house - both inside and out. Open closet doors, look under sinks, check out the attic. Don't forget under the garage and under the deck. Do you have a pile of junk behind your house? Just because you don't see your clutter everyday, does not mean it's not there! What you keep around you reflects you whether it is visible or not. To avoid that overwhelmed feeling while trying to get rid of clutter it is important to make the process manageable. The first step is to break it down into smaller tasks. Choose one drawer or one shelf as your first project. Congratulate yourself when that is done. Then move on to another one. You may only have time for one small project a day. The important thing is to set realistic goals. If you wait for enough time to do it all at once, it will never happen - that is really an excuse to not get started at all.

When you start any de-cluttering project, plan to sort items where you are. Make piles (or use boxes) for different types of things; for example, things to throw away, things to go upstairs, things to give away, things to put in a yard sale, things to file, etc. Once you've sorted, then it's time to get rid of the things you are getting rid of - items to thrift shop, junk to the trash can, yard sale items in the garage (temporarily!), and so on. Then find homes and containers for the other items. It is only then that it is appropriate to find or purchase the containers that you need. Many people make the mistake of buying containers before they sort anything and the containers just become more clutter and never get used because they are not the right size.

Do you have a hard time getting rid of things? Do you keep things "just in case"? Do you keep gifts you've never used because you don't want to offend the givers? Do you feel uncomfortable if you are not surrounded by a lot of things? Do you keep clothes that you haven't fit into in ten years with the idea that you'll wear them again when you loose those 15 pounds. ? Do you have books about subjects that no longer interest you? When you answer these questions honestly you may begin to see where your clutter comes from.

Letting go of objects that we no longer use, need, or love is a very cleansing process. It can also be a very difficult one for some. If you need help with the process, hold an item that no longer supports you in any way, give thanks for the place it held in your life at one time, and then let it go. Remember that letting go of the old makes room for the new. It also indicates a trust in the future.

There are many organizations that can benefit from things you no longer have a use for. Shelters for the homeless and battered women, the Salvation Army, and Children's Aid are just a few of the many organizations and places that depend upon donations to support the people they serve. Is it better to hold on to something you will never use but you keep because your great aunt gave it to you 15 years ago, or is it better to pass it on to someone who will appreciate and use it? By donating items to a worthy cause, you are getting rid of clutter and will feel good in the process.

Spring is a wonderful time to begin clearing clutter. As you clear the clutter in your home or office you will start to feel positive changes in you surroundings and yourself. What better way to welcome spring than with a focused de-cluttering cleaning?

Clearing clutter is the first step toward balancing the energy of your surroundings in feng shui. It is also important to slow down any rushing chi. Another layer is working with the bagua, a template that is superimposed upon any structure and identifies specific areas that correspond to various aspects of your life. Repositioning furniture, using color and other enhancements, balancing yin and yang, and balancing the five elements are other steps in the feng shui process. Begin this spring to feng shui your home and/or office and change your life!
